Who we are
Stephanie Temple, the owner of Warsong Kennels, developed a profound connection with animals from a young age, offering solace during a challenging childhood. Her passion extended to various creatures, including cherished hairless rats. As a teen, she volunteered at a zoo, initially with butterflies but later discovering a deep affinity for scaly reptiles.
In her young adult years, Stephanie found her true calling working at a dog daycare, realizing her love for man's and woman's best friend. Dissatisfied with how dog behavior was addressed, she pursued a career in dog training, dedicating herself to learning effective socialization and training methods.
With honed skills and expertise, Stephanie established Warsong Kennels, providing affordable services from homeschooling to boarding. Each dog receives dedicated attention as Stephanie prioritizes their training and well-being.
As a balanced dog trainer, Stephanie combines reward-based techniques and aversive corrections, introducing the latter once a dog associates a behavior with a specific command. Communication devices like flat collars, leashes, slip leads, prong collars, and e-collars are tailored to each dog's needs. Her reward system primarily involves using food, alongside treats, toys, or any motivator that resonates with the individual dog.

What we do offer
Puppy Board and Train
Puppy Board and Training is a 1-2 week program designed to introduce essential skills such as potty training, kennel training, luring into positions, understanding the meanings of yes and no for proper communication, and instilling the concept of working for the puppy's food.
Basic Board and Train
Basic Board and Training is a 2-3 week program covering engagement, sit, down, recall, proper on-leash manners, heeling, kennel training, and addressing any unwanted behaviors.
Advanced Board and Train
Advanced Board and Train is a 5-6 week program encompassing comprehensive basic obedience, featuring extended sits, downs, recalls, drop leash/no leash heeling, place command, and an introduction to the e-collar.
More about training
Every Board and Train program includes a 1-hour go-home session to instruct the client on maintaining the obedience. Additionally, after one week, there is another 1-hour session at their home to recap and address any issues the client or dog may be experiencing.
Basic Day Training is a 3-4 week program that includes engagement, sit, down, recall, proper on-leash manners, heeling, kennel training, and addressing any unwanted behaviors. The program does not involve overnight stays, with drop-off between 7 am and 9 am and pick-up by 7 pm.
Advanced Day Training is a 6-8 week program encompassing comprehensive basic obedience, featuring extended sits, downs, recalls, drop leash/no leash heeling, place command, and an introduction to the e-collar. This program does not include overnight stays, with drop-off between 7 am and 9 am and pick-up by 7 pm.
Every client will receive a 10-15 minute session at pick-up to review the day's training and discuss how to continue the training at home. Following each Day Training program, there will be a 1-hour session for the client and their dog to recap and address any issues that may have arisen.
Daycare is available for clients who have completed any Obedience program. The drop-off time is between 7 am and 9 am, with pick-up by 7 pm. Activities encompass obedience sessions throughout the day along with free time for the dogs.
Boarding is open to clients who have completed any Obedience program, offering an overnight stay. Drop-off is between 7 am and 9 am (unless otherwise discussed), with pick-up by 7 pm on the last day.
In-home Obedience Sessions and packages are by availability only.
Warsong utilize equipment from E-Collar Technologies and Herm Sprenger. As a distributor, I provide clients the option to purchase or replace any needed equipment.
